Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is in talks with Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham about a return to the Premier League, according to reports.

Bale could leave Real Madrid in the summer having struggled for game time at the Bernabeu in the past year, with injuries hampering his contribution.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim four Premier League teams are in talks with the 28-year-old about a stunning summer move.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are all supposedly interested in signing the Wales international.

United appear to have their sights set on a deal despite signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal yesterday.

Yet their tricky transfer relationship with Real Madrid has opened the door to three of their rivals, with Los Blancos still furious at the Red Devils for their refusal to sell David De Gea in 2015.

Liverpool could make a move with the club fuelled by the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.

But, given they rejected the chance to sign Sanchez themselves because he is too old, the Wales international may not be Jurgen Klopp’s type of player.

Don Balon say Chelsea and Tottenham also have a chance at signing him.

Chelsea could demand Real Madrid include him in negotiations for Eden Hazard.

Los Blancos want to sign Hazard at the end of the season but may face a fight to sign the Belgium international.

And former club Tottenham also want to sign him.

Speaking earlier in the season, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino admitted he would welcome Bale back should the player encourage a move.

“Of course he's a fantastic player. I saw him in Madrid when we played there,” he said.

“He’s always kept in contact with the people who worked here in the past.

“I don’t have a close relationship with him or the people around him. But you never know what's going to happen in football.”
