Ben Gibson will be a target for the Premier League’s top six this summer.

Chelsea and Liverpool are two of the big guns keeping tabs on the defender whose form earned him an England call-up last Friday.

Middlesbrough are keen to keep the 24-year-old who has been impressive despite the club’s struggles against relegation this season.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City have all sent scouts on a regular basis and the England call will only heighten interest in the classy centre half.

Gibson is hugely committed to Middlesbrough but they know it will be a struggle to keep him if they get relegated.

Chelsea and City are also scrapping over Southampton’s Virgil Van Dijk while Liverpool want a top class centre half.

It could be that centre halves are in big demand this summer and Gibson will be among the most coveted defenders on the market.
