Emre Can has added to the chorus of predictions that Mohamed Salah will thrive for Liverpool after completing a move to the club last week.

The Egypt international is set to officially become a Reds player on July 1 having sealed a switch from AS Roma, where he scored 29 goals in 65 league games.

Can is currently on duty with Germany as they prepare for the Confederations Cup semi-finals, but gave a brief hint of his excitement to team up with Salah.

“I am really looking forward to it because he’s a really good player,” said the midfielder at the tournament in Russia.

“Yesterday or the day before, I saw the stats for him from last year in Italy. I think he will be a very good player for Liverpool.”
