Monday Club welcomes local residents to Anfield

Throughout the afternoon, guests chatted to other local residents while tucking into a slice of cake and taking part in a raffle and games of bingo. They were also treated to entertainment from local singer, Alex Devine.

The community initiative, aimed at helping overcome social isolation among older residents, is part of LFC’s Red Neighbours programme.

Support for the elderly community is one of the four key areas of focus for Red Neighbours, alongside: food poverty and education, encouraging a physically active community, and creating memorable experiences for young people.

The next Monday Club will take place on April 16, at 1pm in the Kenny Dalglish Stand at Anfield.
