Liverpool FC's official charity, the LFC Foundation, are running a free family day at Anfield Sports and Community Centre on Sunday August 13 between 12pm – 5pm.

The fun-filled event aims to bring the local community together to enjoy a range of activities, including football and multi-sports, an inter-club football tournament, musical entertainment and prize giveaways.

Participants of all ages, fitness levels and abilities are invited to take part in the inclusive event, which will showcase the Foundation’s range of programmes and the work they do on a daily basis as part of their mission to create life changing opportunities for children and young people.

Young fans will also be able to meet a Liverpool FC Legend, have their photograph with mascot Mighty Red and the first 100 arrivals will receive a free LFC Foundation water bottle.

Andrea Cooper, head of LFC Foundation, said: "We want to invite everyone in the local Anfield community and beyond to come down and enjoy a day out and some quality time with their families.

"We have a host of inclusive activities throughout the day and we hope everyone will come along and have some fun, regardless of their age, physical fitness or ability. It’s also a great opportunity to find out how to get involved in our community programmes run throughout the year.

"It should be a fantastic occasion."
