Shanghai has today been confirmed as the final stop of the 2016-17 season for LFC World, presented by Standard Chartered.

The event will be a four-day programme of activities that engage supporters of all ages, enabling them to learn more about the club and provide exciting opportunities to meet LFC legends.

This season the LFC World experience has visited Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, meeting thousands of fans along the way. Now it can be confirmed that it will next arrive at the Bailian Group River Mall Shopping Center from May 17-21, 2017.

Club legends Robbie Fowler, Luis Garcia, John Barnes and Sami Hyypia will be visiting Shanghai and fans will have the opportunity to meet the former players at LFC World signing sessions at the Bailian Group River Mall throughout the week.

Reds in Shanghai will be able to experience a dressing room photo station where they can sit under the shirts of their favourite players - Steven Gerrard, Philippe Coutinho, Kenny Dalglish and Fowler - and recreate their own iconic dressing room image.

Fans of football and all things technology can experience 'Inside Anfield' - a sneak peek into Anfield made possible by Standard Chartered Bank and the latest in virtual reality technology. With the aid of a headset and earphones, the content puts supporters into the players' shoes and gives them a unique insight into the team's inner sanctum. Fans can experience how it feels to be in a Jürgen Klopp team-talk in the dressing room, and walk out from the players' tunnel in front of the home crowd at Anfield.

There is also the chance to try fun and interactive football challenges that bring to life the buzz of Premier League football, as well as game stations hosted by LFC's official gaming partner and LFC World supporting partner, Konami.

Dedicated Reds fans can share the Anfield atmosphere at a viewing party on Sunday May 21, where Liverpool's last home game of the season against Middlesbrough will be screened.

Club ambassador Fowler said: "For Reds in China, LFC World in Shanghai is the place to be. We know not all of our fans can make it to Anfield so this is our way of bringing Anfield closer to them. We can't wait to meet everyone!"

Yamin Zhu, managing director and head of retail banking, Standard Chartered Bank China, said: "We are delighted to have LFC World hosted in China, as the global partnership with Liverpool FC brings 'money can't buy' experiences to our clients and LFC fans here in China. We are also excited that the Liverpool FC legends will take part in a blindfolded goal challenge to raise awareness for Standard Chartered's global community initiative 'Seeing is Believing', which works to help eradicate avoidable blindness."

John Edwards, British consul general, Shanghai, said: "I am delighted to welcome Liverpool Football Club to Shanghai as part of the club's ongoing efforts to build long-term, meaningful connections with local Chinese football fans. Liverpool Football Club is an elite representative of the UK's sporting heritage, and the GREAT Campaign is proud to work with LFC World: Shanghai as a showcase of top-class football, one of Britain's highest profile global exports."
